Keeping healthy together

The corona virus (COVID-19) means that we all have to change our everyday routines at home and work as well as how we act towards other people. We at FIRST take our responsibility as a healthcare provider seriously, and we will be following the corresponding ordinances at canton and federal level without compromise. These measures are aimed at preventing a further exponential rise in new infections, protecting people at risk and relieving the health system.

Since 27 April 2020, all medical services have been permitted again as long as they take into account the protective measures.

This has led to the following changes in our everyday medical practice:

What we’re doing

  • We’re following federal recommendations and ordinances.

What you can do

  • Refer to the FOPH website to learn more about what you can do as an individual.
  • We’re protecting ourselves every way we can to avoid infecting our colleagues and patients.
  • Please do not come to our medical practice if you experience symptoms of an infection.
  • Our medical service range will continue as before. We will still provide treatment and care for musculoskeletal complaints as well as chronic pain.
  • Please contact your GP, another general medical practice or use the FOPH hotline 058 463 00 00 if you think you might have been infected or need treatment for flu or COVID-19.
  • We guarantee the supply of your medical issue again without restriction.
  • Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have musculoskeletal complaints or chronic pain. We’re here to help you.
  • Contact our medical practice manager at the usual times if you need information or advice, or wish to make an appointment.

  • If possible, send us an e-mail at info@first-zurich.ch to keep our phone lines free and avoid unnecessary waiting.

  • We continue to use digital communication for questions that do not necessarily require personal consultation. We guarantee data privacy.
  • Find out whether you need an appointment for consultation or follow-up. If you have a phone or skype appointment with us, please keep to the arranged time – not too late, but also not too early.
  • We have individual waiting rooms before treatment as well as recovery rooms afterwards if needed.
  • Make sure you arrive for your appointment at the agreed time – not too early and not too late – for your own protection and the protection of other patients.
  • We space out our appointments to ensure that each patient only has contact with their doctor, not with other patients. The guidelines of social distancing are observed.

  • Try to free up as many times as possible to arrange an appointment with us.
  • We keep our distance and protect ourselves at work, and on the way there.
  • Avoid coming to an appointment using public transport if at all possible. Come to your appointment by car or taxi, or ask a family member or friend to bring you. Please refrain from accompanying persons who are not absolutely necessary.

  • We review these measures continuously, or at least daily.
  • Before you set off for an appointment, please check our website to make sure there haven’t been any changes affecting your appointment.

Thank you very much for your patience and cooperation.
